6th April -- Llangollen, N. Wales
A mainly damp and rather gloomy day, with photographs to match!

The C walk started out of the town towards Castel Dinas Bran where most skirted around the base of the castel,
though 4 did go over the top.. ..here's one
After the castel the route went NE and followed the minor road towards Rock Farm past the lambing sheds of one of the farms then to Ty Newydd turning left to Tan-y-fron onto the path to Crucis Abbey. After a short pause, some took a shortened route back to Llangollen from there;
the rest proceeded across country to the Horseshoe Falls and the nearby Church of St Tysilio, then back to Llangollen along the river and canal bank.

The B- route followed the minor road nothwards out of town to join the Clwydian Way near Dinbren Hall
(NOT Dinbren Hall!) heading north to Tan-y-fron
up the east side of the Foel Plantation and down past a mossy barn near Glyn
along the Offa's Dyke path
and wetly back through Dinbren Wood

The B+ walk started
on the Offa's Dyke Path under the looming crags
of Ruabon Mountain Paddling in the river at World's End
picnic by the river
"It's being so cheerful as keeps me going!"

The A walk started
under gloomy skies and with some unusual wildlife
misty across the valley from the Offa's Dyke Path
Carol exaggerating again Soggy going
over Ruabon Mountain

And finally...
in the Corn Mill Hippy caravan
and steam train
JJ's sparkling conversation
has an unexpected effect!
